From August 1–31, 2026, the summer session of the Setouchi Triennale invites travelers to move through 17 islands and coastal areas where ferries, fishing towns, local food, and contemporary art all become part of one shared experience. It is a warm, practical reminder that in Japan, even the journey between islands can feel like a gallery.
